Frequently asked questions

What is SWIS 2?

A single application system for foreign trade participants: permits, licences and other documents required to import or export goods.

Do I need to upload a certificate or report again?

No. Documents from other systems are selected from the “Documents” section, and the receiving system checks their validity itself.

Can I submit an application on behalf of an organisation?

Yes. Before submitting, choose on whose behalf you are applying: yourself or an organisation under a power of attorney. The account takes the validity period of the power of attorney into account.

Which permit do I need for my goods?

The list of permit documents by product is not given on the website: please check with the call centre on 1240 (calls are charged).
